Yeah I am really considering one of those hulls, but Im not sure what they mean when they say "water damage" does this mean its warped or what, anyone buy-one of these?
If its warped, its pretty much useless.

Not sure. They were nitro boats . I bought one with hardware and it had absolutely no damage.

Hmmmm, intresting. I know these are the nitro versions, but it can converted over to Electric. They dont state shipping charges either, do you remember what they charged you for shipping?

yes the one I was trying to sell you is one of the water damage hulls
they originally where being sold complete with nitro engine and rx/tx so thats why the "water damage" warning

as far as the hulls I never heard of anyone complaining about water damage...dont forget its a boat...lol

the thing was after the huricains aeromarines basement got flooded and hence the water problem

bottom line there's nothing wrong with them...its the best deal on the planet

Part of the reason I never jumped on the MM was the cowling, I thought it was ugly, but this changes everything:confused2: Nice work .:rockon2:

I bought Jeffs BBY scat cat 26, as a project :rockon2: Thanks for a smokin-deal:thumbup1:

I came across some Bday-funds, and am looking to see if anyone else has a CAT for sale. I really want a Mystic c5000 hull around 30inches or something that looks similar, but dont know if anyone makes one. Also open to HOTR, and Skunkworks cat. Hull or ARTR is ok too.

Also quick question........What throws-up a bigger rootertail, a inline strut and rudder, or a offset rudder? never used a inline set-up. Im a Hydro guy at heart, but watching some of these videos of Rc Cats with there huge roostertails get my heart racing.

Thanks guys

You'll get better handling and speed using an offset rudder.

I have a 22" cat with a inline set up and it does good. BUT, the bad thing about the inline set up is, it takes longer to change your prop and to pull the shaft to grease. If your in a hurry they are a pain!

Thats not 100% true. It depends on the hardware & prop.

PLEASE EXPLAIN, If there is a way to change the prop or grease the shaft without removing the rudder I would love to know how to do it!!

Cut 1/2 the threads off the end of the stub shaft.

What brand is the whole flex shaft? Hughey or Octura? one is shorter than the other but, not too short for any prop.

What hardware is it also? I may be wrong...

I do like the fail safe if the coupler lets go -- no loss of drive line and prop.

I just kick my rudder up and viaolah, out pops the cable. (I am using the black inline system sold here)
