Just a quick question..
would a Medusa 3680 1600kv push a 41" mono on 6s very well?
looking for 45-50mph..
any input would be great! :thumbup1:

It would be pretty tough unless you are talking a light layup hull--- . Is it step or not?

Just go 8S or even 7S and you can get there pretty easy but only if you prop right and put it on the last 3" of the hull without chine walking too much.

Sleek low profile hull or tub? :)

Something like a DF hull possibly?
I have the Medusa motor and was wondering if this motor would push a hull like that.. :confused2:

I think you can get darn close with 6S and that motor should have some torque to it. I would think closer to mid 40s with that but can keep tweaking props, cg,
etc

I would put it in a 33 or 35 inch boat. You will get to your speed goals easier with a bit smaller boat.

You are at the thrush-hold of speeds and size where it takes much more to get a few more. A boat running around 40 like that would be pretty cool. You can play with it in big water.

I have the exact motor you mentioned, run it in a DF Cyberstorm, it's a 32" mono. With 6S 8Ah 30C LiPo it runs great. Eagle tree elogger data says it draws 120A at 93km/h(58mph?). That is 2400W, almost twice the motor's norminal power. Looks like I am pushing it realy hard, and don't think it can do anything tougher. With good water circulation it runs pretty cool tho.
