Just got some x442 props from OSE. First of thanks to them for some super fast shipping. I ordered them Friday night and got them today. Im gonna try these tomorrow and see how they do. I also got some x450 3 bladers which Im guessing are way to big. I dont why I ordered them, must have miscalculated something..
Any thoughts on teh 442s?

You should be able to run a x642 prop on this boat without any problems..

The boat might torque to one side, 642 doesn't have a CR prop.

Yea, Im finding out the CR props are hard to come by. The x442 is the smallest CR prop I could find

ABC , Graupner K-series, and CMDI are a few more.

ABC props are really nice

Have you balanced and sharpened those props? If not, do not run them!!! A 3 blade prop takes me at least 2 hours to balance and sharpen

My x442s are balanced and sharpened. I think if I find a three blade that will work, I will have someone else balance it.

they work great, but I wanted to run a smaller prop for 4s so I bought a pair of 32mm's

I shaped some x442 octura props for my friend chris's king and they came out great. No over heating. and stable as a mo-fo. So much faster then those little 36 mm.

What motor, pack size and esc was that with ?
I am interested to learn as I may be up for twin power in my bigger cat soon.

442's might be fine on 2s but 3s is a different story. I ran 442's on my ekos on venom 3s 11.1v 5400mah lipos and the motors were blazing hot! That is why I went to 36mm props. And even then I have lost one motor on 3s.

I ran 442 on 3S for a while and they will work, but you definitely have to watch the temps. I usually only did one speed pass, then on the return run at about 1/2 power to cool everything off. They will totally smoke a motor at a constant full speed.

I have both the 32 & 36mm pro machined venom props. The 32mm props work awesome.

Are you saying ALL new props must be balanced and sharpened before use, or just this particular one for the king of shaves?

Yes - if you want best performance and to save your drive system.

Hi Forescott,

I take it CF = Carbon filled and 40's = mm pitch?

Yes, carbon filled. 40mm is the diameter. Pitch is 1.4
