    Repair or replace?

Took the boat out today and was having a blast. Caught a wave and bam...barrel roll and now I have some hull fractures. Both along the port side of the boat with one being very close to the front and the other around the water outlet. Boat still floats but I would want to repair it before it gets worse. Is the boat totaled or could the hull be replaced? I know with some effort it could be repaired.

Are the fractures just in the gell coat or all the way through the hull? I have some small hairline stuff, but they don't go through the glass work. I'm going to strip mine down this winter and reinforce the hull and then do the "cosmetic" stuff.
Also, you can buy just the hull.

Where is the hull available? The fractures look like they are all the way thru. Pics coming soon.

Sounds just like the well known cracks the SV gets along the seam where the 2 halves of the hull come together.

            Would like to see pictures.

Its a pretty easy fix, just takes time.

              Pics as requested...

Upon further inspection in proper light I see hairline fractures all over the bottom as well. Those however appear to be just the paint. Is this a common occurrence in these boats? Has anyone had any success in warranty replacements from the factory? One barrel roll and this happens??? Certainly it should hold up better than this. Other than the second turn fin, this boat is all stock and was on it's maiden voyage.

Very common and yours are pretty minor.

if you look closely, you can see i have 2 cracks running almost the entire length of the boat on either side of the boat where the 2 halves of the hull join-

Hard to see but they are there.

Its a easy but slow fix.
Everynow and then i'll read about some one going through the procedure to fix the cracks.
Is it worth it? Not at the stage right now that your cracks are at.

As Sean stated, those look very minor. They appear to be cracks in the paint. If water doesn't enter the hull thru them, I would just ignore them. But for a little extra peace of mind, you could always apply expoxy on the inside of the hull where the cracks are located. If the paint flakes off. Apply epoxy over that, sand and paint with a matching color.

Well I performed a pool test and its taking in water around the cracks. I have decided to strip it down and reinforce it so I can prevent this from happening in the future. I have everything out of the hull except the tube that the flex shaft rides in. Does anyone know how this comes out? Or does it at all?
