    New build....Rivercat twins

I just got two new hulls in to build. One for me and one for a member. His is the carbon fiber one (beautiful of course!) And mine the fiberglass one. We came up with an awesome idea. The Carbon boat will take the fiberglass top and the fiberglass one will have the carbon top. Then the fiberglass boat gets painted orange and top stays carbon. The carbon boat gets an orange top. Then the orange boat gets carbon decals, carbon boat gets orange decals. Pretty much flip flop between the two and both can be gps for speed runs. Here's the twins from the onset before getting started.

I havent decided what my combo will be on mine. I'll just get busy reinforcing it. It's much more flimsy than the carbon one. The sponson tunnel feels like paper almost. The carbon version will have a 1800ish kv motor with a new seaking 180 V3 on 6s. Offset strudder, 3/16 flex, savox waterproof servo and my aluminum hatch bolt and seal set up. They will both have two part kintec foam in the hull and some other goodies along the way that I won't mention yet.

Those things look fast ! Why not 2200 kv motors ? Try that on 6s and they will push into the 90's

You don't think that's too much kv?

Not for a few passes ! Keep the props small . They should be perfect for sport runs on 4-5s

We are doing a 1870kv tp power 4060 motor is what we decided on. It should push this hull effortlessly and easily past 70mph. It's the same length as a 1520 and I had a 1520 in mine so fitment should not be a problem.

2200kv may work, but the carbon boat is not for me, so it have to be reliable. Basically what this guy is getting is a very high grade, custom built rtr that is not so high strung you an only make a pass or two and bring it in. It's gonna be reliable and knock off 70mph+ passes. I chose a little larger motor than the 1515 2200kv that should easily be up to the task and not break a sweat. I guess I've always felt like I'd be better off to over motor it than to under motor it and everything runs hot.
