    (retry)my brushless super hawaii project..

ok im going to restart lol

Ok so I am building a super Hawaii brushless boat. I bought my SH at my local hobby shop. It was sitting on the shelf gathering dust for about 5 years and I told myself one day I will buy it. So about a year ago I decided to buy it and I bargained with the people to lower the price so I managed to lower it down to 80$ amazingly. That same day I put it together and ran it and I said wow this thing is slow so the next day I decided to run 2 battery packs (o yea it had the mechanical speed controller) and I gave it full throttle and it was almost twice as fast. I brought it out to the middle of the lake and I heard a loud skipping noise and my boat stopped waited almost an hour for my bout to drift back to the bank I took it apart and the gears where totally stripped and the bushings where destroyed. Thats when I decided the brushless project is on. So basically it was sitting on my shelf for a year until I finally decided to start. Here are pics

    what I am starting from

you need a strut, and rudder or studder...that one you have looks like the first revolution of the motor and it's toast.

made a motor mount for a 540 sized motor. its adjustable.

New servo mount. I didn’t quite like my custom one so I took the mounts of an old tmaxx and glued them in. it is also mounted a tad higher

                          KB XL(Extra Long) Motor.

There are 2 versions of this motor, the regular length and the Extra Long 77mm Motor. This motor is the Extra Long 77mm motor. At 555 grams it has enough physical mass to produce large amounts of torque to push the larger 35-45" boats at high speeds without a gear drive. No more having the hassle of having to use a gear box in boats of this size range! Also running the motor direct drive to the prop is more efficient than using a gear box.

For a limited time, Add a Water Jacket for only $14.99!

This is a pic of my KB beside a 8XL
They are both the same length but the KB is much bigger around

For the same money and a $9.95 coupler in a 36" boat
