Got the email this morning, looks good. Thinking about pulling the trigger on this thing. I want to use a 4082 1450kv on 5s & 6s. Anyone think that motor in this hull will work? Hoping I can get buy with 5s1p or 6s1p, goal is mid 40mph.

Sounds like a nice setup and 40 mph is doable. If I didn't already have a 40" mono to build, I would have grabbed one.

At that price I can't even get the hardware !!!!

Shure makes Open mono open right up to those with small wallets.

Their price is too low, they are undercutting the whole market... Oh well, I don't need one. Hull only for that price would be decent but, hardware too? HOR & DF must get totally PEEVED over this stuff....

Shipping to USA is $52 though. Still seems like a good deal.

          What about a CC 1717 1580KV on 6S?

I think you may see mid 40s on 6s but not on 5s, Forescott built an Osprey (same hull) recently. I think its under the build section & video section. He used a Leopard 5692 motor on 6s & i think from memory he got around 50-52mph. Thanks Martin.

I just pulled the trigger on this hull. I ordered slow poke shipping which was $50 and ems was $80. This is going to sit for a little so I had no reason to spend an extra $30 on shipping just to look at it on the shelf lol. I will try the 4082 like I mentioned and a swordfish 240hv.

A 4082 would definitly push that light hull into the 40's Diesel6401....Remember my 4082 in my Genesis went 58mph on 6s with a junk Carbon prop.....

                        Good to know.
I can use the stock mount re-enforced of course, for the 4082 motor which is why I wanted to go that route. I didn't feel like custom mounts and adding rails and all of that. I have enough projects taking time so i'm praying this should be a pretty easy build. I assume by the picture the hardware should be installed at least I hope it is. I should just need to drill out the 4mm bushing add a 3/16 bushing and use a .187 3/16 flex cable. At least that's the plan. I will re-enforce all of the other mounts as well.

Yep stock mount will save time and money for sure... I just moded my a little with the 4082 and even with that 1717 in there know....I think the x447 should be about perfect with that motor... What esc are you planning...Maybe Go with a 240lv

I don't know yet. If I ran 5s I think I could get by with a seaking 180 or a swordfish 200, but I know I am going to want to run 6s every once and a while. If I ran mostly 6s I would get a swordfish 240. Not sure what I want to do. I don't want to rely on the seaking 180 or sf200 for 6s all the time, but the jump to the HV is pretty big in price.
