Delta Force gone wild (aka, smoke on the water)

Few tests on 5 and 6S

    Himodel 200A and Feigao 7XL

one flex shaft broke, so I lost x440,bullet nut, prop shaft and drive dog.

The esc did also got Fryed(few fet´s smoked away), comformal coating was not enough to save it ...(dunked it quite well...) -allmost lost the whole boat, just enough of flotation inside

Iwas too scared to put my 380€(well 2 years a go 380) gps/phone onboard, boy am I glad I did not put that in!

The motor and esc were taking the 6s fine until it got wet.

    Anyways... here is the video.

Next I´ll propably use the 1515 1Y on 4 and 5s and bigger props.

Yeah, it is fun to get them scream! -full 6s pack and 7xl at 0 timing unloaded is 60.000rpm , I used 15 deg. timing ,so I have no idea of rpm´s it makes now -and the sound it makes is so nice

The motor has Boca 70.000rpm bearings and I belive that it is still fine, need to try it on my other esc(Mamba monster) to make sure.

I do drive these in salt water, so I did disassemble it and rinsed it using fresh water and compressed air (from can) I did not have any thing else to use.

The windings look ok and nothing looks burnt.

There is a very slight burned smell, but I guess it came from the Himodel(that is totalled and REALLY smells)

The lipos are ok also, (I got them free from my friend who plugged them in series and instead of plugging the free connectors on the esc, he plugged them together -that was 40/50C 5000mAh directly to his index finger ! .He was going to get rid of them after that, so I got them and even the salt water hasn´t killed them yet. )

With a pressed magnet rotor! Not wrapped. Smoke on the water seems very appropriate.

Thanks all!, it was fun, and when I get a new esc, the fun will be greater.. -more speed.

The wrapped ones(580 atleast) are not that great eighter... if it breaks it will, no worries, new stuff is available. -esc´s and motors are not cheap, but some times I just need to do stuff, this was very positive test, the himodel or the 7XL were never too hot ,even on 6S. So I will try this again later on,when I receive a new esc

What this hobby is for me is having fun
