it is allready on order..... could you please explain the .070.... is that the measurement on the hub to the tip of the blade or along the entire blade?
how low are you running the leg on the vision? mine is the bottom of the bullet even with the sponson, so the center of the shaft is about 3/16 above...

try going up 1/16" at a time...mine has an OS lower and runs a bit over 1/16" under the bullet

          Cheers

My VS-1 runs with the bottom of the prop shaft, 1/8 of a inch above the sponson & level. I use a REK lower unit with a balanced & sharpened 42/55 grim prop on 4s with a UL-1 motor.

not all that impressed with the 42x55 over the 40x53. i put a small bar cut and s/b the prop. i think i need to cut it more. i was thinking of detounging it some to see if i can get some rpm out of it. the temps were similar and speed nothing to speak of over the smaller one. i will work on the 42x55 some and post my testing results.

ok, i take it back. i did a little work on the 42x55 and this thing was flying today. i did a bar cut and detounged it, still need to take a little more off but i had big improvements today... i will take some more video when i get it dialed...

I ordered an OS lower as the hinge pin is inside the rear of the sponson as recommended by Aquacraft.
I don't have that problem at all . I'm also using a Hi-Jack motor mount if that makes any difference. I set mine up once & have not had to adjust it at all. My esc & servo are in the back, & the wire side of my lipo is about 9 1/4 inches from the outside edge of the sponson.

ran it today and finally put the eagle tree in her. using the same ul-1 motor, cc120 and 5000mah on a bar cut 42/55 data was: 45mph, 112 amps, temps: battery 114, motor 104, esc 118. this was the same pond as the videos with exactly the same set-up.
what kind of speeds are the rest of you getting from spec tunnels? i know if i work the prop a little more and go to a bigger body of water it is good for a few more mph.

45 is almost there. Have ran low 50's but it gets difficult to handle at those speeds. Vs-1 Hull with REK lower end, cc 120, 5000 Hyperion G3's, 1614 chopper.

Do you think it ran better than with the 40/53 ?

no the 42x55 is better for sure... just needs a little more work. i got it to where it is and stoped playing with it. the boat sat for a while untill i ran my mod tunnel last week. got hooked on the tunnels again. they are the funest most chalanging boats to drive. plus i like sticking it to the nitro guys. they are all amazed at the fact that i can get the fe's to run as good as they do.

peaks of 112 amps? Sounds ok. but if that is average, then a bit high

Now you going to make it to the WORLD TUNNEL CHAMPS next year? hope to race you there!
