    F1 24" Finally finished.

Well iv finally got the rest of my bits together, and now my F1 24" is finally ready to get wet.
Its running a hobbywing 3600 kv water cooled motor that iv mounted on a modified original dolphin outboard,up graded flexi and ballrace sealed bearings on stub shaft and twin cooling pick ups, hobbywing 60amp esc, futaba 3004 servo for steering with twin cable (push-pull system).Lipos are overlanders 3200 mah,20C 3s 1p,11.1 volt.Iv got 3 props to try 31mm,34mm,38mm.
But will probably just stick to the 31mm.Weather depending will try tomorrow and hopefully get a vid or 2.

With a 3600KV motor on 3S I would suggest a 432 prop. Here are some possibilities.

                    1. Weak battery (even though brand new, it may not be able to sustain high discharge) and is approaching LVC. I have had this happen and puzzled and puzzled only to be solved by a different battery.

                    2. ESC approaching temp cutoff because of too much prop.

                    3. Prop too deep in the water, drawing too many amps. Where is your prop shaft located in relation to the bottom of the sponsons?

Other than that, I'm as mystified as you! Hopefully somebody else here can be more helpful. The ride attitude of the boat looks good so I think you have the angle of the motor correct.

Cheers bud iv tried 3 batterys still the same and only running a 31mmd,1.4p prop iv tried raiseing the prop, and is centre line of the prop is just above the bottom of the sponsons and still the same, looks like i need a bigger esc

You could be right about the bigger esc. I'm surprised it doesn't get really hot though if that is the problem. I would be surprised if that motor/prop is pulling that many amps but it is difficult to know for sure. Maybe it is a faulty ESC as well.

Where do you have the timing set for that motor? I imagine it's just a 2 pole. I wouldn't run it any higher than about 5 degrees advance. You might try that. Might have some bearing on the issue but not sure.

Id step down on the prop 3s on a 3600 kv motor might be getting on the hot side of things . Try a 430 or a 427.

Youd be surprized at the difference a few mm on prop size makes.Try a smaller prop.
