I bought a Tactic TTX240 and it made a huge difference compared to the stock radio. No more stalls in the middle of the lake or the boat just taking off on its own!

By far the best upgrade i have made to my setup so far, and I have done quite a bit. Actually bought a Rio EP just to get a second set up for my kids boat.

The airtronics sure looks nice and with the memory and screen it gives you much better info. I did not know they had that one.

I ike the hobbcity one for $22.00. It also has cruise control when you least expect it ....LOL

I use the Futaba but the new Airtronics for the money looks real good. I have used their radios in R/C cars and never had any problems and it has all the whistles and bells.

I may have to switch to that airtronics mx3. Same price as the tactic sounds good to me. Only reason I use the tactic is because it came with the rio ep and my ul-1 and its so light on 4aa. I do like it though. Just too basic sometimes. Good research buddy!

Is it really that bad? I was thinking of getting it. Must be better than the stock AM right? Maybe I'll have to save my pennies for something better. :)

Not sure. I was going to get one for the Stampede for the boy just to test it and see what happens. I only heard results but not sure you can trust that.

The cheap 2.4 radios from HK are just that cheap they don't have any range and the RX don't always work right out of the box be carefull

The nicest part about the Tactic is each additional receiver is only $25. All the other systems listed seem to have additional rx's a lot more than that. 4 addiotional rx's for $100 is kinda nice.

Has anyone tried this module: http://www.r2hobbies.com/eng/proddet...prod=rcps21216
Seems like an interesting upgrade for older modular Futaba Fm radios.
                      Any thoughts?

The thing I love most about my Futaba and Ko Propo radios is I have multi model memory every boat or car I own has to be set up different I am not just talking trim but servo end point, throttle curve, servo balance I think these are great things to have when setting up a model so I select the model and every thing is just where it needs to be plus I have never had a failure with ether one of them never.
