    Scratch build F1 tunnel

    Hi all im new to this forum and been building my F1 tunnel,finished it a couple of days ago just awaiting gruapner 820 brushless outboard.
    Thought id share some pics and see what other people thought of it.
    Iv built it using ply,light ply and balsa its 24" long.

    Welcome to the forum. Very Nice looking Build. Very nice shiney paint. What is your planned configuration?

          Thanks,took alot work to get like this.plan on using graupner brushless outboard,not sure on the rest yet just scouring the internet,but finding very ltd hardware here in the uk so looking at importing some stuff over.

                    Well id thought id start a bigger project 33"L x 13"w not sure on height yet but will post some pics later of how i start the build and keep you posted on progress as i go along.

                      Some things you might want to do on the larger boat:

                      -The center section between the sponsons works best if it has an airfoil shape to it.
                      -make the tunnel a little wider, it looks like you may flip if you corner too hard.
                      -BEAUTIFUL cockpit area. Definitely keep that.
                      -make a foam form for your canopy, cover that in fiberglass, then eat the foam away with acetone.

                        cheers bud,i have changed the design some what,so should be alot better,but will take what youve said and apply it,but will defo keep the look the same.

                            Alrite bud glad like,no plan available as i build from head i dont write or draw anything up just mark out and glue together,but i will take some pics of the next hull im building from start to finish then you can see how i put 1 together.
