    1/8 Scale Hydro Websites

I am into 8th scale Hydro boats... so I was looking around to see if I could find some future "ex Ub hull" and saw very limited options.
Are any of you guys out there into these large beauties? Given I had such good luck starting the Outrigger Thread I will start this one and see what turns out... this is what I have so far in no particular order:

    Newton Marine

If you want to build your own 1/8 scale hydro from plans the absolute authority is www.newtonmarine.com.

Everyone I've seen has been scratch built with one exception in MI which was FG. I think if you going to get your toes wet, go the hole foot and build it from Newton's plans. Wanna save $35.00 try the Finley free ones of the Atlas or the Pay & Pak. There in PDF format so you can download and take them to Kinko's for 100% prints. Until the RRR is up go to Aztec's website and download for free. I have built several Classic hydros in 12th scale and it's not rocket science to build, just a little time and patience. Gonna build a 10th scale classic and maybe an 8th down the road. 10th scale seems more economic with 4s2p UL or BJ stuff vs BIG Motors and MORE lipo's. Alot of money in 8th scale.

          Chuck, thanks...
I have an 8th scale hull, I was just sniffing around to see what the options are as far as done hulls.
I'll build one someday, but since I had very few hits on these hulls, I figure I gather all info and post it in case someone like me wants a hull...
I do have some plans from Finlay, nice stuff, specially when they are the latest ones.

I just went to Dave's site and I saw a Thunderboat only, not sure he has 1/8 scale... I'll talk to him.

I thin nT-Boats are 1/7 or 1/4 scales... something like that.... some more knowledgeable person may chime in on that...

A bunch of us in the PNW are building 1/7th scale. I have a Miss Seattle Too and a Squire Shop. They handle well, have speeds in the low 50's and are really fun to drive. Jeff Campbell makes a CF shovel hull (both pointed and round nose) that is light (about 14 lbs ready to race in the water), strong, and makes a variety of vintage hulls.

here's the ESU (1/7th Scale) website. I'm getting a "Malware" warning whebn I try to access it today. It's been fine for the last several months though. http://www.electricscaleunlimiteds.com/. Here's a uTube of them running. It's an early-in-the-season exhibition, so some are still in primer. Next year we won't be an exhibition class so everything will have to be painted and scale.

I have seen you guys racing, Scorpion powered right? I'll be building one of those soon (Zipp Kits).
I am using the Scorpion motor on my 8th scale for now.

Yes we're using the corpion HK-4035-800 on 8s. What a sound! They run great don't need water cooling and seem reliable.
