    LiPo Charging...

Hey guys, quick question re: LiPo charging habits...
Anyone have safe recommendations for how many AMPS to use when charging LiPo cells? I have read about it relating to C rating and all, but that still leaves me questioning how many amps to set my charger to.
Safe amps for 30C 5000mah? 20C 5000mah? Any suggestions would be nice.
    Thanks!

Just takes a little longer. A safe bet is to charge at 1C of your packs mah rating. for instance, a 3700 mah battery would charge at 3.7 amps. A 4000 mah battery at 4 amps. A 5000 mah battery at 5 amps. But you really should check with the manufacturer of your packs for their recommendations.

1C is always safe. If your lipos are high quality and purchased in the last 6 months, you can probably go to 2C. eg., 2500mAh at 5 amps. I charge all of mine at 2C. I wouldn't recommend this with the cheap chinese lipos though.

Just watch the temp of the battery. If it's getting hot, shut off the charger and go back to 1C. All that being said, I disavow any responsiblity for your results!

I hold each one of you personally responsible for all of my batteries! If I have any charging issues or fires that take down my house or cottage, I will be coming after you. In fact, even if my boat flips, I will blame you and your fancy 2C charging haha.

Thanks again all for the input,
