Try Walmart or a sporting goods store. It's called Hockey tape.
Is 40 too much to ask for???

Really! I never would have thought of that. It doesnt leave a nasty residue or anything? Im imagining it has like a texture and comes in colors? Or am I way off here?Comment

Cool, I will check that out as well. So the electrical tape stays stuck enough for those all so fun blow overs? I was using 3M black today and it just didnt seem near as tacky as the 3M clear tape I got from the LHS.Comment

Well I use it on all my boats including two SV27s and you know how they run, part time on their lids.. and no leaks I can see.. I think it works great.
also if I wipe the boat down before I take the tape off, I am able to reuse the tape...NAMBA20...Caterpillar UL-1, P-Spec OM29, P-Mono DF33, P-Spec JAE, Aussie 33" Hydro-LSH, Sprintcat CC2028 on 8s, PT SS45 Q Hydro, PS295 UL-1 power, OSE Brothers Outlaw QMono 4-sale, Rio 51z CC2028 on 8sComment

I ran again off batts that had about a couple passes on them from yesterday. 38.9 was all I got, after a strut adjustment w/ the 442. It started out at 38.1. So Im hoping w/ fresh charged packs I will be reeeeally close to 40.
The 637 ran a 37.7.
As for COG, in theory, at least the way I see it, if I were to move my cog back, thats should bring the bow up which in turn would put the transom down? With this said, should I be adjusting my strut up if the cog moves rearward??? I moved the cog back a bit, but didnt adjust the strut at all. The boat did have a lot better ride attitude, Im just not sure if it wasnt that my batts then had probably over 4 minutes run time on them. Not all at once, in 30 second intervals.. run it, adjust it, run it, adjust it etc.... So Im hoping again, with fresh batts...Comment

I will do that.
Running an external BEC. Am I seeing this correctly? You put an extension from your esc to the Rx and remove the center wire, so your not powering the Rx twice? (if you click the UBEC)

Just ran it on 2 fresh 2S 5000's for a 4S set up, 442 at last set trim, 40.2I went 2 passes, then swapped props to the 637. I did not reset the GPS, so I do not know how fast it went on it, but it didnt go any faster. Ran 2 laps at that set up and went back to the 442. I reset ther gps and made a strut adjustment, first down 1/16 (39.2) and then up 1/16 from the original setting (39.6) I went back to the original set up and 39.8 was all I could get out of her. So in she came for a cool down and re-peak. Temps are highest at motor at 110.2F.
I feel like Im accomplishing something!!!
I will get vid asap. Its getting quite windy out right now, looks like a chance of rain is on the way. Oh and I ran it with the cog at the last location I had it on the previous run, have to check percentages but the tails of the batts are 1.5" or so from the back of the sponsons. Ride attitude is perfect. Floats in the air w/ no movement at all. At one pint into the wind I though I was going to lose her as a gust hit the surface of the water. She got squirrley, but I NASCAR'd it and kept on the gas....Comment

Tried the 642 right off the charger. Moved the strut up until it was blowing out, and then worked it down until it was obvioulsy not going to get faster. 38.2 was the best she would do, which was on my mark I made on the strut that previously that got me a 38.1 on the 642. I think maybe w/ the hull design/ Motor, it just cant spin it up. I put the 442 back on after several passes and ran a 39.6.
Im off to get a 640 from the LHS...Comment
