72.3 mph Miss Geico 24 inch Cat....... Awesome!!!

Took my Miss Geico 24 inch aka "Ain't Skeered" Cat out to a windy lake today and ran 72.3mph. My goal was 70mph with this little hull and I was told I could not get anywhere near that. Ran 65.8 mph on crappy batteries a couple weeks ago, so with new batteries and a prop change I hit 72.3mph. Always listen, filter out the BS, and make it do what it do!

I dunno if anyone would have told you, you couldn't. I'm sure it was more like, it's not practical and the boat will be unstable, which it doesn't seem like it's in total control.
Nevertheless, it's still cool and congrats man yesway

72.3 mph Miss Geico 24 inch Cat....... Awesome!!!

One time I put a high kv brushless motor in a tamiya tt01. Lol
I was told it wouldn't work well.
I wanted to go 50. Well I got it up there, but it was not in control
I'd slow it up to full throttle and pray.
And forget about even touching the steering wheel; even a little bit at full throttle. Thing would go sideways then roll about a hundred times

Who would think it. Bravo, good stickin to it. Did she fair well from the flip? It must be fairly light.

Came back from the flip with no scratches. I had painted the boat so when I finally got the canopy back after it floated about 6 inches under the water until it washed a shore almost 2hours later it had some chips of paint come off but that was it. There is NO damage at all! I love this little "Cheap" boat. She really moves and to be honest, I didn't even have it "set up" for 6s, It is a 4s set up boat that I decided to put 6s in, I was going to run it before I made any strut adjustments or tweaking and this is how it ran! Imagine if I put some time into it and played with different props, she might hit 80mph!!!!!!

So what is the setup? I'll check your other threads... Nice job, wish I bought one of these hulls before they became a hot item...

From my best screen shot it's a Tacon motor either 36mm or 40mm diameter?? The esc is a T180 and batts?? You are also using the BJ29 offset hardware.

What Kv are you running? 36mm or 40mm motor??

Ummmm. I hate to spoil your fun but that mph does not count when you flip into the air like that. you must keep it on the water and get a reading. when it comes off the water like that, it speeds up a bit. sorry.....lets see it make a pass and stay on the water and get a gps reading.....
