In your opinion what is???????
As the title goes what do you guys rate as the best electric boat money can buy in terms of build, speed and handling thank youTags: None -
The one you build, spec and design yourself. Otherwise you have to give us more detail on what you are looking for.

Sorry i should have been more specific i'm a newbie to rc boats and waiting on a miss geico 29 coming was just wondering were would you go after this boat would like something that is rtrComment

Maybe buy you a mono rtr. Then you have a cat an monortr. Run them for a while, and see which kind of boat you like better. Then tear them apart, and rebuild them with new motors, motor mount, esc's. It's not much, but it gets your foot in the door, on building of some kind. Then run them for a while. Then Buy a a bare hull, and do a build . Cause with the rtr's you will find out what you like and don't like. Plus during there rebuild, you will find out if you like building. Then when you build your own, you can build it the way you want it. I like the build just as much as I do running the boatsComment

Once you are familiar with FE take a look at the for sale section and pick up a well built used boat. If you are a boater who goes out and runs for fun a mono is a great all around choice. If you want something more geared towards oval running look for a sport hydroplane. Stay away from purchasing a rigger in till you have a little more experience.

If your looking for the best "type" of boat to meet the criteria mentioned its a rigger hands down. Blinding speed and amazing handling once set up. But as was already mentioned they are at the very top of the food chain and not for beginners.Main thing if your just getting started is ask questions. This fe stuff can have a steep learning curve so dont be afraid to ask.Comment

You'll really enjoy the Geico you have coming and have an opportunity to gain some basic skills and knowledge about FE. Once you're ready to step up, some of the options listed in the above posts can be entertained, but ( Prepare for my shameless self promotion) you might think about, given that you want something ready to run but not be thrilled with the quality or performance of the current crop of mass-marketed rtr's (which are getting better and better ), you might consider the notion of having your dream boat custom built for you to your specifications. That's where I come in : http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...at-RCBOATBUILD
I noticed in your bio that you're in Ireland. No worries - in the last two months I built boats for customers in Hawaii, Australia, and Chile
Yes it'll be expensive, but you can have EXACTLY what you want, and I build them to last without any of the recurring problems you'll find in the rtr world.

Between that one and the MG you have on the way, you'll gain the experience needed for a you build it should you choose to go that route.Comment

All great suggestions I'd say. If you see anything in the near future for sale from me I'll guarantee it will be a great deal and well built. Just sayin'...Nortavlag Bulc
