Finally got my custom mono in the water!

Bought this boat pretty much receiver-ready from member gizmo1 here. But fixed it up just a little bit and completely removed all old paint and resprayed it. Turned out good, but the "cast iron" color on the top came out darker and almost a green tint, which I'm unhappy with. I'll be going for a lighter "titanium" color when I get the chance - with some orange accents to match the underside. When I flipped the boat once, the orange underhull screamed "here I am, come save me!" :p

Apparently this boat was owned and set up by 2 different guys here on Offshore Electrics, but neither got it in the water. Man did they miss out!

Seems to be running pretty wet, but good for the choppy water in the video. CG should probably be moved back a ways on calm water for increased speeds (but organization in the hull is a problem for that). I'm still blown away by this thing! Couldn't have gone better for a first run, I think I pre-trimmed everything really well. Sliced through the chop really well. :)
The Supervee my buddy ran was catching air going much slower the whole day.

...me too! I'm lucky to have remembered to get a video when I did. The power cut out at the end of that clip, I assume because of low battery voltage. I think it was about 5 minutes of mostly full throttle running total. I'll have to check the esc settings soon and also run a timer next time. I'll also get a picture of the boat posted in this thread, can't make anything of what it looks like in the video.

When I got it, it looked like this:
