58" apache new motors first test

was pretty good, 56mm plastic props to start with.
sound problems half way, so music added...

Props spun inwards, any idea would the Amps go up if they turned outwards? -to get this more stabil. Burned a motor and 2 esc´s this summer on outward rotation, alltough the motor was bad also then.

The esc´s and lipos were cold, motors about 50-55 deg. c

Did not charge batteries yet so no idea of Amp draw, 6 minutes of driving and no lvc yet, looking good

Looks like it's getting fast enough now to develop a little chine walk once it get's wound out.

Looks good so far m8,the chinewalking can be trimmed out, these hulls have been clocked at 59 mph with a gas engine as you know and handle it fine so keep working on it.Outward rotation might help not sure but might be worth a try if it doesnt draw too many amps.Keep the vids coming,i havent managed to get a boat wet this year but im hoping to change that.

I´m sure that chinewalking is eliminated if going outward rotating props, but the Amp draw is the worrying part. -will test inward and 55mm propshop next and go from there.

I wonder if trying both props going the normal rotation would have any benefits,i know a few guys have ran these large hulls that way with gas engines without issue. Its how i intend to do mine, both props going the normal direction.

I can try that, but I only have a pair of huge 63mm props. If the 55mm propshops are good I guess i can try the 63 mm´s after that. -but will see if the propshop props are good and cures the chinewalking then I´ll stick to them.

Sometimes just a simple strut adjustment can sort it out, just keep playing and im sure you will sort it out.The boat looks awesome on the water and sounds amazing,so do you think these motors are better than the t600 or do you think you were just unlucky with the t600 or was the orriginal esc,s well one of them the problem all along.

I think that t600´s are fine and the esc problem was to blame, and 1 of my t600´s had manufacturing fault. Tthat said... -the new motors are much smoother , they feel almost like thay are sensored! -on t600 using these esc´s the throttle feel was not great, only ok. Now it is really smooth. -the motors are in sync better also now, t600 were easily identified as twin motors but the new ones sound like there is only 1 huge motor. -I think that t600 is good, but these new motors just feel better. -and sound is really nice!

I can try and lower the strut angle a bit, but I like how it rides now, only the chinewalking is bad. thinking that twin inward props lift the stern too much.

THe esc´s are fine also, the only difference to the esc´s i use now is the software and watercooling. (they only go up to 15 deg.timing) they will work together, small rpm differences and maybe other minor stuff but it will work fine. -shame that hk sells the boat series as 30 deg timimg capable...that was the reason I wanted them.
