Just a few last items to do on the boat before the hull gets stripped down and shipped off to paint.

The aluminum water exits from OSE were installed in the hull above the water line. No big exiting thing here.

The air scoop is installed using some insert nuts and 3mm socket head screws.
This will give me the option of removing at will, and installing some kind of camera bracket in it's place at a later date.
By using the insert nuts, it ensures the threads in the scopp will not strip and become loose with time.

The foam noodles were cut and installed in the nose of the hull, and the bulkhead was trimmed and test fitted. They will all be sciliconed in place once the hull comes back from paint

I would like to suggest to glue the foam and bulkhead things later, perhaps after you find your best CoG and battery config. Neither did I know my HPR115 would need some battery packs into its head to move its CoG forward enough... Anyway your 135 is physically larger and may be a different case.

Good point, that's why I said i wanted to wait until it comes back from paint. I will also wait before permanently installing the battery mounts. Get the CoG right, and then glue the rest.

The boat was brought to a friends house who has a big enough aquarium to fit it in, and just so happens to be empty, just to do a float test.

The boat took on quite a bit of water as soon as it was put it.
Nothing is sealed at the moment, and no grease in the shaft, so this is presumably where the water was coming in from.

By the time the camera was located and taken out to take some pictures the boat had taken on a good amount of water and was already starting to sag in the rear.

But still, it looked pretty good just floating there.
Now it is time to take it apart and get it preped for paint.
The rest of the finishing detail can be done without the hull and once it comes back from paint.

The hull was dropped off at the local automotive bodyshop for some body pre-work. Then its off to paint.

Hey everyone, sorry about the long delays, just a quick update for all of you. The boat is in the paint booth as we speak, I should have pics available by the weeks end or next week.
I had to order the second motor from a different supplier since it seems my local hobby shop is having troubles getting the one I ordered in September.
I have a few parts to have machined at the CNC shop, and then some rebuilding and testing. It should see water within the next month. I will keep posting as soon as I can.

                            Time to reanimate this forum.

                            Ok people, here it is,

After a long awaited period the boat is finally back, and sitting in my new work shop (part of why this took so long) with it's new paint scheme.

Here are a few pics, as well as some shots of the new shop.
Hope you guys enjoy, and let me know what you think.
Next, comes the rebuilding and soon the maiden.
