New video from last night, now in HD!

    **Replaced video- now in HD**

Hopefully now everyone can see it better. The quality on the new camcorder is way better than the digital camera movies.

Intersting. I had a BBY V hull years ago and it did the same type of jumping.

Well I just got my coupler problems fixed (again) and got the boat back to the quarry.

No video, but I have eagle tree data now!

I must say, one AWESOME piece of equipment to have!

        21 mph GPS verified speed
        15.52 amps max draw
        109 watts maximum power

The only downside to the run is I grabbed the pack that was only at 7.7 Volts (discharged) and not the full charged pack.

However the boat hops around like its crazy, so Im not sure if the fully charged pack would make any difference.

Im going to try the fully charged pack and a different prop and report back later tonight.

Unfortunately when I got to the quarry I noticed the servo was loose from its wood mount. I didnt have any glue so I couldnt repair it in the field.

Will make the runs tomorrow. I have 4 props in total to try.

No. I thought it wasnt steering well as I snagged some seaweed.

But it turns out that the servo coming loose was the culprit. I did hit a patch of it though during a fast turn. Might of yanked the servo loose.

Now it will be CA'ed in place.

You are going to glue the servo itself or the servo holder?????. I would not use C/A but something that can absorb vibration a bit.

Well tonight I made it to the pond.

It was a wild ride. The boat spent more time upside down then running.

I have 3 props I can use on this. One was so small all it did was cavitate. The other so large it barely cleared the rudder stand off. It was way to big, put the boat on its lid with ease.

The normal prop Ive been using is the best.

                    Full charged pack:
                    23 MPH
                    25 Amps
                    185 Watts

Not to shabby. I think Im gonna take the rudder and strut off this boat and swap on the Proboat steerable outdrive and try to slow it down for my kid to run.

This was meant for her- I had no idea it was gonna be such a handful!
