    cooling jacket for neu castle

well I think its going to work......I'v got my finned Neu Castle 2200kv motor and took a kb45 cooling jacket and slid it ofer the fins.....experimented with some diferant size o-rings and getting ready to seal it up......first picture is with the o-ring installed...second pic is the gap you see before I add the new o-ring...what sealnt should I use for this

O-rings should seal up the void. I've never used a sealant on any jacket. Just lubed the rings before sliding on and let it ride out after that.
My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

      Good modification

Check for water leak first before your run it

I would agree if this was a normal situation but due to the fact that this is a finned motor and the water jacket was made for another motor things are a little different...when I put both o-rings in ......the slightest bump makes it all fall apart but it does seal good while its together..you can blow air in one inlet and put your finger over the outlet and it holds air real good...its going to need silicone.........would just regular clear silicone work?...would it take the heat of the running condition of the motor?

Silicone should work, if possible use High Temp just to be safe.

I would pressure test it first tho, try to push some water through it.

I used the same tester idea. I made a piece to slip inside a garden hose and reduced it down to fit my 1/8" tubing. That way I can do it outside, easily.
