Nice boat, self righting and all. the strut does not seem adjustable at all. How does it run in the chops?

It only had its first run today in 10-12knot off shore breeze but ran very solid, i have a friend with one of these and his runs really well also. for the UK Mono 2 class this boat is super stable with its unstepped hull and should perform well so looking forward to running this weekend.

So, the Triton runs real good out of the box per-say ( comes with motor mount/strut and rudder installed )?? Even though the strut is not adjustable. And does not require trim tabs. The cost of these hulls are pricey for an almost rtr which might be a turnoff for alot of folk.

Did you drill the extra holes in the flood chamber yourself ?

Yes I opened up the flood chamber with a drill for the pilot holes and then use a rc car Body Reamer to open the holes up a bit bigger.

All the Toysport hulls I believe can be bought in either a bare hull or Almost RTR version with hardware installed, I bought this one as the RTR as it was in the shop and was a must have on first sight (they are really nice hulls)

the strut is non adjustable on this and the triton (a friend has one) but they seem to be setup very well so run straight from the box (after adding electrics) and seem very competitive.

                      Hi Chopper,

I only ask about the flood chamber inlets as I have recently aquired a Syncron myself and am wondering if you ever run the boat with less inlets.

My hull currently has one small hole towards the bouy of the boat plus the rear chamber exit offcourse and I am wanting to know if it rolls over faster with more inlets added.

                      Regards

                      Jimmy

Nice boat. Do you find that it flips quicker with all the holes?

Below is a couple of pics of mine. I added trim tabs to mine.

Yes she rolls very quickly so lets you keep racing with minum time lost.

I suppose the theory is it basically leaves "less resistance" so the water enters quicker -- boat rolls quicker -- get moving and empties quicker. in theory the more holes the better.

it doesnt need any lead just rolls on the weight of the 4s lipo which is sitting to the port side between the centre of the hull and the flood chamber

Yes I agree, some more holes do allow the water to enter the flood chaimber more rapidly as the air escapes faster.
Just dont get carried away with it as you can weaken the hull structure by doing this.

Jimmy just leave the boat alone it runs fine the way it is.
