Steven at OSE is great, as are the members here. Sharing everything has become one of the main goals of this forum. Making it easier for the next guy to build and understand Fast Electric boats. There is a lot more to it, than first meets the eye.

Absolutely, Steven at OSE has the best customer service I have encountered in this hobby. If he carries it, then look no further.

The senior members on this site always seem to distinguish themselves by the virtue of their vast experience and are willing to come to the aid of a newcomer or a tyro. Sharing ideas, knowledge, and experiences is a genuine practice on this site. Good luck on your Mean Machine build!

Thanks, just waiting on the 9xl and hydra120 from chris fine,as steve was out of them at the time.A buddy and I bought these hulls from aeromarine who said they were flood damaged.I'd have to say that was an understatement, but for 50 bucks, thought we'd try our luck. They were old nitro hulls with everything still in them except the pipe, fuel tank and outer hardware. They were pretty waterlogged and the motor and servos were rusted solid! I think they were factory rejects before the flood. I painted mine once and now I don't like the way it came out so ,gonna do it again while I wait on fine designs motor and esc.Everything is mounted inside and I slapped on some glass along the tunnel. It had the suff tube in it,kind of hanging there, had to reposition it as it was way off center!I think starting with a new hull would have been WAY easier, but what the hay,If it doesn't fly right I can always get one from steve here and swap the stuff over.

Few pics of the hardware and mount locations.with all the old holes plugged and everything glassed, wish I would have taken some before I gutted it.These aren't too good but I'll get some more as I go.

hope that you don't need to adjust the motor angle..., you know that you're gonna need a boot on that rudder linkage, right?

Rex,it has an adjustable motor mount and the stuff tube support will be opened at the top,the pic u see there is just prefit on the hardware .I drilled out the hole for the boot to full size also.Still no motor and esc from chris yet,I prefit the mount with a 6s . I hope the xl motor will clear the cover,if my measurements were right.Rex,I saw your mm,and it looks very cool, did you have any mount issues?

dr mount: only issue was bending it to my desired angle, they don't bend easily(this is a good thing). used a 3 lb. hammer, a chunk of 2 X 4, and a large steel bench vise
