I had a couple of samples. They ran well at low rpms. At 25k they blew up.

The KB XL motors have been selling like hotcakes. A ton of them go to Europe. Not sure why, but they love them.

Steven, which one is your best seller? KB 8,9,10 or 11XL?

So it seems maybe they are not as bad as ppl say. Do they have to be balanced and new bearings before they can be dependable?

The 10XL I bought was perfect, right out of the box.

I am planning a build of a 37 in mono and haveing a hard time figureing out the power for it. Im thinking its a bit big for a fiegao and I havent had alot of trust for the kbs from the posting I have read. I think its either a kb or a neu but as of now the neu are a bit out of my budget. I guess I could try a kb 8xl.
Will one of those 200 amp hi power do the job for an esc?

I was running the 10XL on 24 IB 3600 NiMHs in a 34 inch hull around 50mph using less than 100 amps. I have not run the 8XL yet.

I want to try the 8XL on 5S with the 200 amp hi power controller in a Mean Machine hull.

My mono is a light layup I was hopeing to run a 8xl but thinking a 9xl might be a better choice a bit more torque I had originally thought i would need 2 xl's to get it going but after thinking about the weight 1 xl might do it...

One KB 9XL on 6s would be good.

Does Steven warrentee the motors if the rotor comes apart?

I like the KB 9XL for your hull.

                              Try a 40 or 42mm prop.
